Alkaline Fuel Cell Power Developing Unique Hydrogen Fuel Cell for the Mass Market

The hydrogen adoption is currently low, but world governments have big plans for it as a greener energy source. The current demand for zero emission technology is already outpacing supply because the current technology is inadequate to meet market needs. Analysts estimate clean hydrogen could meet 24% of world energy demand by 2050.

Cumulative investments in renewable hydrogen in Europe could be up to €180-470 billion by 2050, and in the range of €3-18 billion for low-carbon fossil-based hydrogen. The global market for this cleaner energy source was valued at USD 120 billion in 2020. Clean energy has become a critical concern in Europe and legislation and capital providers are demanding prompt action.

Hydrogen fuel cells do not use combustion, do not vibrate or make noise, and their only by-product is pure water. Alkaline Fuel Cell Power” is developing hydrogen powered micro-CHP systems using alkaline fuel cell technology. Alkaline Fuel Cell Power is currently working to complete the first full 4 kW system in laboratory configuration with plans for the fuel cells to be available for commercial applications in 2024 to fill the increasing consumer demand trend for clean energy.

These fuel cells’ unique and competitive component design stands out from the competition. Alkaline Fuel Cell Power fuel cells use components made of mostly nickel, graphite and plastic. Tailored for the residential and small/medium sized power markets. Their low-price fuel cell manufacturing technology allows for high volume production.

Hydrogen fuel cells are small power stations which provide electricity and an equivalent amount of heat for various purposes. Current energy storage technology solutions comparable to that of Alkaline Fuel Cell Power are too expensive for adoption for residential purposes. The design of Alkaline Fuel Cell Power micro-CHPs has lower material costs than what is currently available, thus making it more viable for the consumer market.
